Each Sunday has four readings: 1. Old Testament passage; 2. Passage from one of the Psalms; 3. Passage from either the Epistles or the Book of Revelation; and 4. Passage from one of the four Gospels.

The scripture readings in each month's newsletter are from the RCL. I normally use one, sometimes two, of the Sunday's lectionary passages to base that week's worship message. Many daily devotionals also use the RCL.

Our Sunday School/Bible Study group has decided to study each of the four passages from that week's RCL. We will still meet on Sunday mornings at 9:30. Not only will we be studying four biblical passages each week, it should help us be better prepared to understand that Sunday's message.

The only book you need to bring is your Bible (we have extras in the Sunday School room). If you miss a Sunday, you can always see what we're studying the next time. Come and study God's Word with us.

                                                                                                                     Pastor Jimmy

Scripture Readings for the Month of March 2026

March Second Sunday in Lent
- Genesis 12:1-4a
- Psalm 121
- Romans 4:15, 13-17
- John 3:1-17 or Matthew 17:1-9
March 8— Third Sunday in Lent
- Exodus 17:1-7
- Psalm 95 - Romans 5:1-11
- John 4:5-42
March 15—Fourth Sunday in Lent - 1 Samuel 16:1-13
- Psalm 23
- Ephesians 5:8-14
- John 9:1-41
March 22æ Fifth Sunday of Lent
- Ezekiel 37:1-14
- Psalm 130
- Romans 8:6-11
- John 11:1-45
March Liturgy of the Palms
-Psalm 118:1-2, 19-29
- Matthew 21 : 1-11
March 29— Liturgy of the Passion
- Isaiah 50:4-9a
- Psalm31:9-16
- Philippians 2:5-11
- Matthew 26: 14-27

Ray and Kitty Styons Frances Watson
Fountains of the Albemarle 516 7th Street North
200 Trade Street, Apt.
